The restaurant is listed as Asian Express, but I picked this dish up at Chopsticks on Madison in Clarksville. Same address, so I guess the same place. I went in last night, not sure what to get since I have to eat Gluten Free. They had Honey Walnut Shrimp, which is my favorite but language was a bit of a barrier to find out if it was made with a cornstarch batter like it's supposed to be or if they use wheat flour. So, I opted for something else. Instead of going for Moo Goo Gai Pan, which is pretty much gluten free (I don't mind soy sauce, doesn't seem to affect me. It's distilled, which I think makes a difference) and normally what I would get if I couldn't get through the language barrier. I noticed they have a lot of interesting dishes on the menu, so thought I'd be adventurous. I like spicy food and saw the Flaming Cow. I love hot pepper beef, so this might be something I like. It's tender beef steak fried till crispy then wok stir fried with jalapenos, habaneros, shredded carrots & bell peppers. I ordered extra steamed rice, in case it was really hot. When I got home and opened the lid, the aroma was mouth watering. I was expecting to be drinking milk to get rid of the pepper heat, but it was actually just the right amount of heat, for me. This dish is DELICIOUS! It has the heat, but it also has some sweet and I'm not sure, but I swear I tasted pineapple, like maybe they use pineapple juice in the sauce. I don't know, but whatever it is, it works!!! When I got done eating, my mouth wasn't on fire! The one thing I didn't like that it seemed to have a lot of sauce, making it a little soupy. I made 2 meals out of it, so I let the rice absorb the sauce on day 2 and it was still delicious. If you like spicy with a little sweet, you will love this dish! I can't wait to go back and try something else off the menu (although I may have to order this again!) I found me a new place to eat in Clarksville!
